Very bad attitude.
I bought an Amy Yip Big Pao and requested chili.
But Lee rejected rudely, saying no chili for pao, as it already has sauce inside.
I'm okay without chili, but Lee’s attitude is terrible.
Food is so-so.

Pau was served lukewarm, not an ideal temperature for consumption. Workers were very slipshod in their service. I recommend thoroughly reheating before eating.

The quality is very inconsistent. Sometimes the siew mai is moist and flavourful and tastes freshly made. Sometimes it is dry, cardboard-like and definitely half-stale (i.e., leftover and reheated for a few days). Perhaps they need to do some basic inventory control to avoid this consistency problem.

Went at 9 AM. The cashier did not respond when I first spoke to her. I got the lotus pau, and the pau was not even fully thawed? The service and quality were so different from the other outlet I frequent.

🤷🏻♂️🤢 The Amy Yip Big Pau is more like a minced meat, fat, and vegetable mix pau. That's all. It tastes sweet, and is nothing fantastic. The bun/pau is too dense. I guess that the franchise's buns/paus are kept too long, making them not as fresh, soft, or fluffy when compared to a freshly made pau. Overall, I don't think it's worth having again. The glutinous rice chicken is disgusting. It's really flat. I prefer more moist glutinous rice and extra flavor. It would help if they added some Chinese sausages or mushrooms. Basically, it's just sweetened chicken on rice. 🤷🏻♂️🤮

I’ve been here several times. I always get the chwee kueh, and sometimes get their bao. They are both very delicious! The chwee kueh is bouncy and flavorful. Their chili is super tasty. The bao is very large, even the regular size, and is soft and tasty (the picture is accurate; there's a large piece of boiled egg inside too). Love it here. I go every time I’m in Bugis.

I generally like Nam Kee paus and noodles. I don't know why the reviews are so low. But today I was surprised after many years of eating pau. It's called pointy pau. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

"We always buy the paus, etc., in the morning, and the staff there are nice, but this is the second time I went there and only a guy told me the paus were not ready yet. I really don't understand why they open at 8 am; I went there at 9:30 am, and 1.5 hours later, the paus still weren't ready yet? It seems I can only buy when the auntie is there. Bugis Junction branch."

Extremely disappointed with the service here. I waited far too long without anyone attending to me. When I approached a Chinese staff member to ask for help, she responded in a rude and impatient tone, told me to "wait," and even glared at me.
As a paying customer, I came here not to be treated with attitude like I'm the one causing trouble. It's unacceptable to expect customers to tolerate such unprofessional behavior. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to others based on this experience.
