The Employer

The employer is a Singapore-based Single Family Office of the promoters of a diversified business conglomerate with interests in petrochemicals sector. For its Finance & Accounting team, the company is looking for:

Position: Assistant Accountant (investments)

Location: Singapore (CBD)

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be part of the finance team and will be responsible for:

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
• Reconcile portfolio trades and balances with banks and custodians.
• Update trades in a cloud-based investment management software.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Assist in the preparation of detailed portfolio reports and analysis for management review.
  

Fresh accounting graduates interested in a career in investment accounting may also apply. On-the-job training will be provided.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

• A degree in accounting from a reputed university.
• 1-3 years of work experience in accounting/finance function.
• Prior experience in investment firms preferred
• Exposure to using Tally / MYOB / similar accounting software
• Hands-on. Meticulous. Independent. Good learner.
• Good written and oral English communication skills.
