The key mission of PC Dreams Group is to keep as many devices and as much of their components away from landfills and incinerators. Keeping them above ground and in circulation for as long as the economy will have them. We achieve this by offering our customers a seamless experience in owning and using Zero E-Waste Devices or ZEDs and by integrating our systems with strategic partners who are able to increase the catchment area for pre-owned devices.


Job Description:


The Category Specialist plays a vital role to PC Dreams Group business. He/She will be incharge of all aspects in a certain category. The ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) devices. He/She will be incharge for both buy and selling of devices under their supervision.


1. Sustainability Advocacy and Brand Engagement

  • Promote sustainability-driven purchasing decisions by educating customers on trade-in and buyback programs, aligning with zero e-waste initiatives to raise environmental awareness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with backend teams to optimize the buyback process and develop competitive pricing strategies that support business goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison across both physical retail and digital platforms, ensuring a cohesive and seamless customer experience.
  • Communicate fluently in English and Chinese to engage diverse customer groups and tailor interactions to local market preferences and consumer behavior.
  • Maintain high retail standards through exceptional customer service and effective visual merchandising, upholding brand integrity and driving customer satisfaction.

2. Sales, Services & Product Advisory

  • Guide customers in selecting pre-owned and refurbished electronic devices, ensuring informed and sustainable purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure inquiries on device upcycling, repair, and trade-in valuations across both physical stores and digital platforms are handled.
  • Manage buyback transactions, assisting customers in valuing and trading their used devices while ensuring alignment with pricing models.
  • Manage receipt and documentation of incoming devices for trade-in, repair, care and warranty services.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge and ensure operational compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management Systems).

3. Digital & Social Media Sales Operations

  • Implement omnichannel strategies to engage customers via social media, messaging tools, e-commerce platforms, and marketplace listings.
  • Oversee buyback program promotions through digital campaigns and online engagement tools, ensuring visibility and accessibility.
  • Oversee digital order fulfillment, coordinate logistics, and ensure smooth transactions across all retail channels.
  • Track retail trends and buyback success metrics using data analytics to refine digital sales approaches and optimize product offerings.
  • Leverage digital tools, including Excel, Google Sheets, messaging platforms, and CRM systems, to enhance operational efficiency and reporting.

Work Details:

Work Week: 5.5 days

Work Hours: 11am - 8pm
