The Employer

The employer is a Singapore-based Single Family Office of the promoters of a diversified business conglomerate with interests in petrochemicals and other sectors. For its Finance & Accounting team, the company is looking for:

Position: Financial Accountant

Location: Singapore (Central)

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be part of the finance and accounting team and will be responsible for:

• Accurately update trades in a cloud-based investment management software.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Reconcile portfolio trades and balances with banks and custodians.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed portfolio reports and analyses for management review.
  • Assist in ad hoc financial tasks as required.

On-the-job training will be provided.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

• A diploma/degree in accounting from a reputed university.
• 3-5 years of work experience in accounting function.
• Prior experience in a family office or private equity/VC firms preferred
• Experience in using Tally / MYOB / similar accounting software
• Hands-on. Meticulous. Independent. Good learner.
• Good written and oral English communication skills.
