The Employer

The Employer is the Family Office of the promoters of a large and diversified USD 20 billion conglomerate with interests in petrochemicals, raw materials, fertilisers and other sectors.

The Single Family Office (SFO) manages a portfolio of global investments covering Equities, Fixed Income, Private Equity and Alternatives. To support further expansion of the SFO in Singapore, the Group is looking for:

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive coverage for macro strategy research and investment calls across public market assets, with a particular focus on equity and fixed income.
• Assist Portfolio Managers with day-to-day handling, including trade execution and performance analysis
• Monitor and interpret economic data, interest rate movements, and fiscal and monetary policies to assess their impact on financial markets
• Develop and recommend investment strategies based on thorough analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or engineering from a reputed institution
• CFA/MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in global macro research, with the ability to connect macro trends, markets, and positioning of major market participants
• Knowledge of testing simple quantitative strategies using Bloomberg and Python
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
• Understanding of multi-asset portfolio construction
• Familiarity with various asset classes and their interrelationships
• Familiarity with a range of analytical tools, databases, and software relevant for investments and portfolio management
• Hands-on. Culturally adaptable. Ability to work independently in a small, focussed in-house team.
