Senior Mechanical Engineer

OUR CLIENT

Our client is a respected engineering consultancy with a strong track record delivering mechanical design solutions across large-scale building projects in Singapore and the region. With a focus on technical excellence and collaborative project delivery, they work on complex developments across the healthcare, residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.

THE ROLE

They are currently seeking a Principal / Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. This is a key leadership role focused on overseeing project delivery, guiding junior engineers, and providing expert input across mechanical systems including ACMV, fire protection, hydraulic, and plumbing & sanitary services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set mechanical design criteria and review design calculations and drawings
• Produce conceptual and schematic sketch drawings
• Ensure documentation aligns with client briefs, approved concepts, and design standards
• Attend client, architect, design coordination, and site meetings
• Resolve technical issues during design and construction phases
• Prepare and contribute to fee proposals
• Lead projects and supervise a team of engineers and technicians
• Support Team Leaders and Job Captains in overall project execution

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 7 years’ mechanical design experience in a consultancy setting
• Proven experience in hospital, residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
• Familiar with design of ACMV, Fire Protection, Hydraulic, and Plumbing & Sanitary systems
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Singapore is an advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
