Brought my mum for lunch here. Ordered a cup of tea. Mum couldn't finish a whole cup of tea on her own, so I requested an empty glass to share her drink. The request was rejected by the young restaurant manager (I presume), stating that drinks are meant for individual consumption. I asked for a bowl instead, which was equally fine.
The four-star service rating is for the very patient staff who brought us the Xiao Long Bao. Overall, the food is still good, but the presence of a fly was not appreciated. Overall, it was not an entirely positive dining experience. Thank you.

I recently dined at Crystal Jade, and I was thoroughly impressed. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service set the tone for a wonderful evening. The standout dish was the Pickled Grilled fish, which was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Overall, I highly recommend Crystal Jade Bugis. Thanks to Danny and his team.

This Crystal Jade outlet was pretty consistent, and the food was great, just as we usually find at their other locations. Quite a spacious outlet with plenty of seating. It was somewhat full for a Tuesday evening, but we managed to get a seat without queuing. It would be good if prices were featured on the online menu, which would make ordering simpler.

Enjoyed a great unique lunch after church: fish la Mian, white turnip rolls, healthy fried rice, and a huge pot of chicken soup! Absolutely delicious lunch with loved ones!

While the service was friendly and the atmosphere was quiet, the food did not meet my expectations. I have visited Crystal Jade multiple times, but this is the first time their fried rice has fallen short of my expectations. While the XLB and vegetables were decent, the fried rice tasted dry and unseasoned. The rice grains were stale-tasting, and the prawns and chicken cubes were tasteless and dry. I would not recommend this dish.

Been here a couple of times, and the food has been consistently good. I love that the restaurant seats are comfortable, and service is also good.
However, today I tried the signature Dongpo pork belly, and it had an off-putting smell. I'd advise skipping it.
Most of the other items I’ve tried so far have been good, e.g., fried rice, sweet and sour fish fillet, sautéed prawn with Korean citron mayo, sautéed egg white with fish meat, la mian with scallion oil, and XLB.

The food here wasn’t what I expected. The fried rice was good; it had good wok hey and was paired with the fish bilis. The Chongqing noodles were a bit too spicy and oily, though, in my opinion, and the chicken wasn’t that tender and juicy. The pancake was normal too, an average starter. Love their stir-fry vegetables and the duck. The duck didn't have a gamey smell and was fried perfectly, paired with the sweet egg pancake. The vegetables were good, thanks to the generous ingredients.

The chilli crab xiaolongbao was of pretty poor quality; you can get better at Din Tai Fung. Their crispy duck with crepe was soft and limp, not crispy at all, making it one of the worst renditions I have had. The 賽螃蟹 was above average but not remarkable. The best dish was the spicy Szechuan chicken, crispy and not overly spicy while retaining the flavours associated with the dish. Money is better spent on their other outlets, like Crystal Jade Kitchen, Crystal Jade Golden Palace, or Crystal Jade Palace.

Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao is a hidden gem in Bugis Junction! The food was absolutely simple yet amazing! Every dish was packed with flavour and well prepared. Their truffle xiao long bao was nothing like any other I’ve tried—perfectly delicate, rich, and bursting with a truffle-infused broth. On top of that, the service was sensational—attentive, friendly, and efficient. If you’re ever in Bugis Junction, this spot is highly recommended for a great dining experience!

Tried their healthy claypot rice, spicy steamed chicken, spicy fried chicken, and shredded cabbage. All were nicely done and quite enjoyable. The flavours were well balanced, but portions were a bit smaller compared to those served at Sichuan restaurants. I found the xiao long bao a bit average as the broth and filling didn’t quite stand out. Still, a good option if you’re looking for a satisfying Chinese meal with good service and atmosphere.
