Josh’s Grill is a Western-style grill house in Singapore, known for its affordable pricing and generous portions. With locations in Bugis Junction and Novena, it offers a casual dining experience that has garnered mixed reviews from patrons. ⸻ 🍽️ Food Quality & Variety Hits: * Grilled Meats: Many diners appreciate the tenderness and flavor of the grilled meats. * Sides: The restaurant offers a diverse selection of sides, including mala broccoli, mac & cheese, and mango & pineapple salad, which add a unique twist to the meal. Misses: * Inconsistency: Some patrons have reported variability in food quality, particularly with chicken dishes being overcooked or dry. * Side Quality: While the variety is commendable, certain sides like mac & cheese and onion rings have been described as underwhelming or greasy. Take Note: The steak's oval-shaped "hot plate" is too small; it is more like the size of a side plate! A compatible plate should really be used to serve their delicious steak. ⸻ 🥖 Complimentary Starters A notable feature is the complimentary warm bread and butter served at the beginning of the meal, which has been well-received by customers. ⸻ 💰 Value for Money Josh’s Grill is often praised for its affordability, with main courses starting around $10.90 and include two sides. This pricing strategy appeals to budget-conscious diners seeking a hearty meal. ⸻ 🛋️ Ambience & Service The restaurant features a modern barn-style interior with rodeo-themed decorations, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Service quality varies, with some customers noting prompt and friendly staff, while others have experienced slower service during peak hours. ⸻ 📍 Locations * Bugis Junction: 200 Victoria Street, #01-69, Singapore 188021 * Novena: Velocity @ Novena Square ⸻ ⭐ Overall Impression Josh’s Grill offers a budget-friendly option for Western cuisine enthusiasts. While the generous portions and diverse menu are appealing, inconsistencies in food quality and service may affect the dining experience. It’s a suitable choice for casual meals, especially for those prioritizing value over gourmet expectations. If you have specific dietary preferences or are interested in particular dishes, feel free to ask for more detailed information!

Here's the edited review: Came during dinner time. No wait for a table, and plenty of seats were available. Ordered and waited for my food. My partner’s meal arrived first, so I told him to go ahead and eat since mine hadn't arrived yet. We were having the same chicken chop, just with different sides. But somehow, by the time he was done eating, mine had yet to arrive, even though other customers around me had already received theirs. I told a waitress about it; she went to check but didn't come back. I then told another waitress, and they gathered to discuss for a bit before my meal finally came. I usually have a pretty pleasant time at Josh Grill, but today was one of the unfortunate ones. :( I was delighted when a staff member offered me a complimentary dessert. The service recovery made me feel a lot better!

Josh's Grill might be the best Western food in the entire Bugis area for its price. For a decent price of about $15 (including tax and service), you can get an amazing chicken chop and two sides. My table also had the fish and chips, and the snow cheese chicken cutlet. All these dishes were excellently prepared, and Josh's Grill is always very generous with the sauces. I highly recommend the corn side, with its amazing grilled char taste that most places are missing. The drinks here are fairly good too, but can be pricey. I recommend getting one of the big mugs and sharing it with someone to even out the costs. Overall, while it's not a meal I'd have all the time due to the price, it's always worth it.

We were a little adventurous with tonight's choices. The JG Duck Rolls and Butterscotch Frothy are fantastic! 👍 The Grape Burnt Cheese Cake... I think we'd still prefer the original. 🤭 Josh's Grill is one of the few very safe choices for dining. 💕

Love the food! Nice presentation and good quality. The yummy chicken truffle pasta and sea bass fish and chips are great too! A recommended place if I happen to be here again. Relaxing ambiance and friendly personnel. Thank you for your great service.

The food was too oily, and the taste was average. The onion ring batter was soaked in oil and easily separated from the onion. The same was true for the fried calamari. The hot plate sirloin steak came on a heated plate where a cup of oil was poured in. Even the truffle mashed potato had a layer of oil. Feeling very unwell after the meal, I will not come back.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Josh’s Grill, Bugis outlet! The food was flavorful and served piping hot. I had the grilled chicken with brown sauce, and it was juicy, tender, and paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and cheesy rice. The sides were rich and comforting — a great complement to the main. Service was warm and attentive, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The ambience is cozy yet stylish. It's great for casual meals with friends or family. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for affordable Western food with generous portions and great taste!

I had an amazing experience at Josh’s Grill. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the fish and chips and salmon, and both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was outstanding; our server was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! Kudos to Manager Syasya and the entire team!

Cozy environment and not crowded during weekday lunch, great for a relaxed friends' gathering. Loved the soft, slightly warm bread served before the meal! However, the meats in the set meals were a bit on the small side and tasted just average. It would be nice to have more vegetable side dish options, especially greens, to balance the meal.

Here's the edited review: The fish and chips (sea bass) was nicely battered. The salad was nice. The fries were cold, and I waited a while after my partner's chicken chop was served. The chicken chop seemed small, about palm-sized and thick-cut. The baked potato was all right, but the macaroni and cheese was not. Too dry. Not to our liking. However, the onion sauce was a thumbs-up, as was the mayo for the fish and chips, and the complimentary bun was a surprise. Service was all right; the servers were friendly and helpful. Price is comparable to most Western restaurants in Jewel. There was no airport staff discount, though. I pitied the cashier because she must have answered the same question many times from airport staff. Will we come back? Maybe yes, maybe not.
