Before I made my purchase of yr Signature Pandan cake for my oversea friends to try, I asked do u help to cut and provide plastics bags? Sales said yes.. ok then I go with 2 cakes n requested to cut. When I asked for bags? She said 10cts each so 24pcs cake is $2.40 extra,. Ridiculous and still claim I thought u meant the paper carrier. I m like .. I told u I need give out to friends n eat n try.. else y ask u for something plastics bag?? If I buy keuh, u also gv me a plastics bag to put inside right?? Is juz reflect how the service is and yet carrying a SG signature around to be proud of.

First of all, I am a fan of Bengawan Solo, and I am a regular lover of the walnut cake and the pandan cake. Today, I visited the Bengawan Solo outlet at Bugis Junction and bought a walnut cake and marble cake. When I cut it, I immediately noticed that it was different—it was very dry. When I took a bite, my tongue got hurt due to a tiny stone in the cake. I am very disappointed.

The cakes and desserts we bought have always been lovely. Favourite ones remain that pandan flan/custardy desert, with a caramel sauce. Delicious. I can also recommend the Sagu Melaka. Prices are honest and the team always helpful.

Terrible customer service. Even though there were no other customers around, the staff member completely ignored me. I had to call her a few times just to get her attention. And then, when I finally placed my order, she didn't even respond. I don't even know if she understood what I was saying. The whole time, she didn't even say a word to me, making me feel like I was the one who was supposed to be serving her. I even said thank you when she gave me my cake, but still no response from her. I'm not going back there again, no matter how good their cake is.

I went in yesterday, and the lady was very nice. This is my go-to whenever I go to Singapore for the pandan cake, kueh lapis, and lapis sagu. First time at this location.

Inflation is real. $1.90 for a slice of pandan cake, which doesn't even count as a slice because it's too pathetically small. It's like a half-slice, then cut even further in half.

Bought my favourite kueh bangkit and peanut Kok chai. Very disappointed with the quality of both. The pastry was powdery, and the peanut was powdery; they lost their peanut characteristics and had no peanut fragrance. The bangkit is sweet and unremarkable, and can't compare to neighbourhood bangkit. Banggawan is no longer a trademark for quality. ðŸ˜

My go-to place, either for the special occasion cake like Mother's Day today, or for their assortment of nonya kueh.
