Bugis outlet on 27/4/2025, 4:50 PM. Chocolate Origin, please check on your female staff on duty. I was in front of the store and no one was to be seen. I found your female staff sitting in a corner, face stuck to her phone. I said hello to her, and she reluctantly attended to me. Although she was wearing a mask, I could read from her gaze and body language that she was not in a good mood. Her attitude and response were poker-faced, cold, and rude. "kena sai". I felt like telling her off, but would share it here instead. Spoiled my day.

Service was really bad. I purchased a chocolate lava cake to take away, and the staff member acted as if I was ordering something very ridiculous. The service was lousy, but the food is good.

Visited on 13/2/2022, and it was crowded on Sunday. Attracted by its 'wall display' of chocolate and the cat statue (Cacaocat, made of chocolate?). The chocolate candy cost $2 per piece, and it has 14 flavors. I chose dark chocolate, matcha, honjicha, and yuzu flavors. I also bought the Cacaocat Bake Ware Choco (dark chocolate) for $9.80.

Love the 70% Swiss Dark Chocolate Bar. Best enjoyed at room temperature, not cold. So creamy and yummy. I also love the 70% Catlate single origin chocolate from Ecuador. Not as creamy, but tastes so good. Unlike common dark chocolate, these are premium quality. Can be addictive, but 70% is healthy! Damn shiok.

The chocolate lava cake and ice cream cone taste so good! ππππ₯°π₯°π₯° The ice cream machine was down today. πππ Chocolate Origin ice cream, cake, and lava cake all get 9/10! πππ It's hard to come across a chocolate brand that is so talented at making cakes, ice cream, and lava cakes! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ This was my first time trying the pistachio ice cream lava cake. πππ

The cake was nice, but the service staff had a bit of an attitude. Wearing an earbud at work, she responded to my questions with only a nod. When I came to collect the cake, she again used a nod to ask what I wanted. I ordered a cake the other day, and the collection today involved the same kind of attitude.

One of the best dark chocolate ice creams ever!! The ice cream is rich and creamy, and definitely a great dessert option after a long day of shopping, especially when the shop is located right near the escalator at B1. The only downside is that the staff is so busy just taking orders and preparing food at the counter that table cleaning is delayed or simply not done. We were seated at a table where there were still dirty spots from previous customers.

Here's the edited review:
I read the reviews about the impeccable attitudes of the staff. I saw it for myself. When I asked for their names, I was told, "Why should I give it to you? We are only part-timers." They had long fake nails on, which was so unhygienic for working at a dessert store. Not one, but both staff members, looked like manicure shop staff. They were wearing face masks, perhaps so people couldn't recognize them.
No wonder the Chocolate Origin stores are closing one by one.

The Chocolate Origin cake used to be my favourite chocolate cake ever, but it doesn't seem to taste as rich anymore. I wish it were more chocolatey than cakey. For the price, there are much better options~π₯²

My favorite type of ice cream is dark chocolate flavored, and I would say this is probably one of the darkest, if not *the* darkest, dark chocolate ice cream Iβve ever had. Mildly sweet, with all the darkness of dark chocolate, and the bitterness is pleasantly balanced. Super gooey and rich. No seating available. I got the single scoop 1-for-1 deal through SingTel and paid $6.
