Went in looking to just do scaling and polishing and stain removal, came out with a $208 (before GST) bill:
- Sterilization and Disposables = $18 (standard charge for Q&M)
- Consultation, scanning & digital records = $50 (first time I've ever been charged for this by Q&M since 2015)
- Scaling & Polishing = $100 (highest I've ever been charge for this)
- Prophyjet (Stain Removal) = $40 (same as last Q&M visit)
While I was with Dr Maria Sherilyn, I rejected an X-ray and rejected the fluoride paste, but then after the scaling, stain removal and polishing was done, she told me that first time consultations at the Bugis clinic come with a 3D mouth scan. It sounded like I had already paid for it, so of course I went ahead, but now I think that's the reason I paid the $50 consultation. The counter staff did mentioned the scan when I remarked that the bill was so high.
Lessons learnt:
1. Never see Dr Maria Sherilyn again. No wonder it was so easy to book an appointment with her.
2. Never visit Q&M Bugis again. They seem keen to provide services like 3D scans even when there is no problem to solve.

Past time It's quite suffering for me to see dentist due to my joint soreness issue as need to open mouth quite long time and some Dr quite rushing.
Today Dr Gyeonguk quite patient and gently, ask me whether tiredness and need to rest, massage the joint part. My doc was Dr Tay Eu-Jin, I'm so glad to have my teeth extracted by him. He was very gentle with me and took time to comfort me knowing that I was super nervous. Such personable doctor is hard to come by and I’m so fortunate to be able to have him as my dentist! An otherwise ordeal for me became a pleasant experience without much stress.

My son had been complaining of his painful upper molar a few weeks back. He was scared to see a dentist. We were so happy with how Dr. Lee handled him on his first check up. Dr. Lee was very patient with my 8-year old boy and he managed to calm him down during the whole check up. He was both very friendly and firm with his instructions and explanations to my son, which my son did understand and follow post check-up.

In the past, visiting the dentist has been quite a suffering experience for me due to my joint soreness issue, as I need to keep my mouth open for a long time, and some doctors were quite rushed.
Today, Dr. Gyeonguk was quite patient and gentle. He asked me if I was feeling tired and needed to rest, and even massaged the joint area. He especially suggested relief methods, like a warm towel, as I was worried about the cost of a guard, X-rays, and other methods. He summarized all the professional knowledge and provided patient education. I truly appreciate his kindness and good care, especially with so many details which I know most dentists seldom provide.
Staff Zhiying also provided quite good service. I will definitely visit again.
